Rams Head Coach Sean Mcvay Reacts To Week 11 Offensive Surge, Kam Kinchen’S Stout Game & More
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay was all smiles after his team’s impressive 27-20 victory over the New Orleans Saints in Week 11. 🏈 The Rams offense, which had struggled in recent weeks, exploded for 373 total yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 26 of 37 passes for 287 yards and two touchdowns, while running back Cam Akers rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.
“I thought our offense did a great job of bouncing back,” McVay said. “We were able to make some big plays in the passing game, and our running game was also very effective. I’m really proud of the way our guys responded after last week’s performance.”
In addition to the offensive surge, the Rams’ defense also played a key role in the victory. Defensive tackle Aaron Donald had two sacks and two tackles for loss, while cornerback Jalen Ramsey had an interception and a pass breakup.
“Our defense played outstanding today,” McVay said. “They were able to generate a lot of pressure on the quarterback, and they also did a great job of covering the receivers. I’m really proud of the way they played.”
One of the standout performers on defense was rookie linebacker Kam Kinchen. Kinchen, who was making his first NFL start, had a team-high seven tackles and a forced fumble.
“Kam played a great game,” McVay said. “He’s a very talented player, and I’m really excited about his future.”
The Rams’ victory over the Saints was their second in a row, and it improved their record to 7-3 on the season. The Rams are now in first place in the NFC West, and they are in good position to make a run at the playoffs.
“We’re playing with a lot of confidence right now,” McVay said. “We know that we have a lot of talent on this team, and we’re starting to put it all together. I’m excited about the future of this team.”
