Packers’ Christian Watson Believes He’s Found Cause of Leg Injuries
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson believes he has identified the cause of his nagging leg injuries. Watson has missed three games this season due to hamstring and calf issues.
Watson’s Observations
After consulting with multiple specialists, Watson believes his injuries are related to a muscle imbalance in his legs.
“I’ve noticed that my right leg is slightly weaker than my left,” Watson said. “I’m working with our strength and conditioning coaches to address the imbalance and strengthen my weaker leg.”
Previous Injuries
Watson has a history of leg injuries. He missed 10 games last season with a hamstring injury.
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said he is hopeful that Watson’s latest injury will not be as severe.
“We’re taking a cautious approach,” LaFleur said. “We want to make sure Christian is 100% healthy before we put him back on the field.”
Looking Ahead
Watson is expected to miss at least one more game. The Packers are scheduled to play the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football.
Watson said he is determined to get back on the field as soon as possible.
“I’m working hard to get healthy,” Watson said. “I’m eager to get back out there and contribute to the team.”
