_Los Angeles, CA_ – Former Lakers executive Quincy Olivari has issued a stern warning to the organization, urging them to learn from their past mistakes and avoid repeating the costly error of undervaluing Scotty Pippen Jr.

“The Lakers can’t afford another blunder like what happened with Pippen Jr.,” Olivari stated emphatically. “That decision set the franchise back years and put us in a worse position than before.”

Pippen Jr., a highly touted recruit, was acquired by the Lakers in 2020 as an undrafted free agent. However, the team failed to give him a meaningful role, and he ultimately left for the Chicago Bulls, where he has excelled.

“Pippen Jr. was a talented player with a great bloodline,” said Mitch Kupchak, former Lakers general manager. “We underestimated his potential and paid the price.”

Olivari believes that the Lakers are in a similar situation with current undrafted gem Quincy Olivari. The 6’7″ wing has impressed in the NBA Summer League, averaging 14.5 points and 7 rebounds.

“Olivari has all the tools to be a solid contributor in this league,” Olivari asserted. “He’s athletic, has a good shot, and plays with passion. He deserves a fair shot to prove himself.”

Sources within the Lakers organization have indicated that Olivari’s demands are being taken seriously. The team is reportedly considering offering him a two-way contract, which would allow him to split time between the NBA and the G League.
