Pitt Shakes Off Early Jitters In Win Over Point Park
Panthers Pull Away in Second Half for 78-61 Victory
Pittsburgh, Pa. (November 11, 2023) – The University of Pittsburgh women’s basketball team overcame a sluggish start to defeat NCAA Division II Point Park University 78-61 in an exhibition game on Tuesday night at the Petersen Events Center.
“We were a little rusty early on, but I thought we played much better in the second half,” Pitt head coach Lance White said. “We need to be more consistent, but I’m proud of the way our team fought back tonight.”
“We made some adjustments at halftime, and I thought our players responded well,” White said. “We moved the ball better and got some open looks. We also did a better job of defending in the second half.”
