Stoughton, MA – An Amber Alert has been issued for three children who disappeared from their Stoughton home in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The missing children have been identified as 8-year-old Abigail Pierce, 6-year-old Austin Pierce, and 4-year-old Andrew Pierce.
According to local authorities, the children were last seen asleep in their beds by their mother at approximately 11:30 pm on Tuesday night. When she awoke the following morning, the children were gone, and the house showed no signs of forced entry.
“This is an extremely concerning case,” said Stoughton Police Chief Donna McNamara at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon. “We have no leads at this time, and we urge the public to be vigilant in searching for these children.”
The Amber Alert was issued at approximately 9:00 am on Wednesday morning. It is the first Amber Alert issued in Massachusetts since 2019. The alert includes a description of the children, the last known location of their residence, and a request for the public’s assistance in finding them.
The Pierce family is a close-knit one, and the disappearance of the children has deeply shaken the community. “They are wonderful kids, and we are just devastated that they are missing,” said the children’s uncle, James Pierce. “We just want them back safe and sound.”
The investigation into the children’s disappearance is ongoing. The Stoughton Police Department is being assisted by the Massachusetts State Police and the FBI.
Anyone with information about the missing children is urged to contact the Stoughton Police Department at (781) 344-2575.
